Bangladesh has secured a place in the semi-finals of the SAFF Under-19 tournament as group champions. They will face Group B runners-up Nepal in the final on Friday. The two teams will face each other at 4 pm at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in Arunachal Pradesh, India.
Bangladesh has only one day left before the semi-finals. However, coach Choton said that everyone in the team is physically and mentally ready. He said, “We have finished the group stage well and have reached the semi-finals. In the time we have had, the boys have recovered well, physically and mentally. The boys are fully ready for the semi-finals. Nepal is a good team, we are also good, the semi-finals will also be competitive and we will go out to win.”
Bangladesh won the title by defeating Nepal in the final last season. This time, the two teams are meeting in the best four stage. Captain Nazmul Huda Faisal wants to see team effort from everyone in this match.
He said, “The last practice session before the semi-final has been held. Tomorrow, our opponent in the semi-final is Nepal. Everyone should pray for us, so that we can give our best from our respective places, all as a team, as a family, and play for Bangladesh.”
