BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu has alleged that various conspiracies are being hatched to destroy Bangladesh. He urged the current government to quickly complete the necessary reforms and establish a political government.
The BNP leader said that it will be difficult to keep the people united if that initiative is not taken. For that, people must be given the right to vote to counter all conspiracies. People must be given the power to elect the person of their choice. A democratic government will be established through that election, which can only protect the country and keep the people united.
He said this at the ‘Citizens’ Rally to Protest Muslim Persecution and Killing in India’ organized by the Desh Bachao Manush Bachao Andolan in front of the National Press Club on Saturday.
Sheikh Hasina had made Bangladesh a slave of India in every sense by destroying the electoral system and democracy, BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu said. He said, ‘We must remain united. India is provoking us in various ways.’
Regarding the shelter given to Sheikh Hasina by India, the BNP leader said, ‘India has proven itself to be a fascist by giving shelter to a fascist. We consider India a friendly country. But does India consider Bangladesh a friendly country or not?’, he asked.
BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Abdus Salam addressed the protest rally as the main speaker. Addressing India, he said that Bangladesh never interferes in India’s internal affairs. India should not interfere in Bangladesh’s affairs either.
Bangladesh Labor Party Chairman Lion Faruk Rahman, Jagpa Vice President Rashed Pradhan, Muktijoddha Dal Organizing Secretary Lion Mia Md. Anwar, Gana Adhikar Parishad Senior Vice President Faruk Hasan and others also spoke at the rally chaired by Desh Bachao Manush Bachao Andolan President KM Rakibul Islam Ripon.
