Washington and Tehran have held a second round of talks on Iran’s nuclear program. The meeting was held in the Italian capital Rome on Saturday. After a long wait, representatives from both sides met for the first time in the Omani capital Muscat a week ago.
Oman is mediating the talks between the United States and Iran. According to information published on Iranian state media, the meeting began at around 11:30 am local time. Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi was seen arriving in Rome. US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff was also scheduled to join the talks.
